Quality Over Kitsch – Thanks to Gregory Scott writing for Vitamin. I normally would not participate in the Art A Whirl event here in Minneapolis because it’s just too crafty for my taste. So I thought it would be a good opportunity to have a show and put up some museum quality work at the studio. I was producing the prints for the Big Shots show so I decided to work a little harder and get the studio filled with Big prints by the time that AAW started. I did eventually get the space filled up and still did not have enough room for all the artists. That’s why I am trying to finish the last few and have a real reception in August. To display the show we just tacked up the prints with pushpins. There’s nothing like looking at a Huge Alec Soth or Paul Shambroom without any glass in the way. This approach has spawned the Workprint Gallery, coming to Workprint Studios in September.
